Full size puzzle: 1959 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider by Touring

Anyone looking to have some fun with this car is more than welcome—especially since, in this case, the fun could last a long time given the car’s condition.

We’re also unsure whether it’s truly worth restoring or if it’s better used as a source of many rare and valuable spare parts, which are increasingly hard to find for these Touring-built cars. In fact, aside from the strictly mechanical components (and not even all of those), these cars have virtually nothing in common with their sedan and coupe siblings. So if you’re missing something, be prepared for months of searching and to shell out significant amounts of money to get the parts you need.

It’s impossible to say whether the car is complete—you’d need to make a long list with the car right in front of you, and even then, you’d likely overlook a lot. Unless, of course, you’ve restored so many of these that you know the entire parts list by heart. Then there’s the bodywork, which is no small matter: these cars have a rather complex structure, especially the floors, and there are very few suppliers left. In short, the choice is yours—for now, find it for sale at $10,000 (or best offer) here in West Madison, WI.
