It’s clear to everyone that the brown mentioned in the title refers not only to the interior but also to the rust that covers most of this Sprint GT.
Manufactured on April 13, 1965, and sold shortly thereafter on April 21 to Alfa Romeo Newark in the USA, this vehicle originally boasted a musk green body (AR 209) and leather skai interiors which, by the way, seem to be taken from a GT Veloce. The car’s journey from a sought-after piece in Newark to becoming a Boston resident paints a picture of a vehicle much loved and widely utilized. Its tenure in Boston lasted until 1981, after which it found a new home in Kittery, Maine. Unfortunately, like many classic cars, the Giulia Sprint GT faced its share of mechanical challenges. A faulty brake master cylinder led to it being parked at Bill’s Repair Shop in the mid-1980s, where it remained in hibernation until 2007.
The car retain its original engine, numbered AR502*15093, but it also features 40 DCOE 27 6E/6E carbs and ATE brakes, but we all see the problem here: a huge amount of rust that makes you think that this car could work only as a parts car, but it all depends – as usual – on the will of the future owner. Find it for sale at $5,250 here in Portsmouth, NH.
