One owner: 1968 OSI 20M TS

It’s been a while since we last featured this model, but not because we don’t consider it worthy. On the contrary, it’s because there are few of them around, and even fewer in this condition.

It’s an OSI 20M TS, built by the Turin-based OSI (which stands for ‘Officine Stampaggi Industriali’), a company that, until a few years ago, didn’t manufacture cars but rather produced sheet metal for various uses and supplied many Italian car manufacturers. This model was commissioned by Ford Europe because rival domestic and foreign companies were gaining ground in the sports car sector, which, despite limited sales numbers, had significant implications for the brand’s image.

However, in reality, this is not a sports car. We could say that if there had ever been a Ford Mustang for the Italian market, it would undoubtedly have been this one. In fact, thanks to its long wheelbase, the car has four seats despite the fastback design and two doors. This particular specimen is said to have had only one owner, never fully restored apart from a few details, with original paint, original license plate, original owner’s manual, and only 64,400 kilometers since new. Find it for sale at €49,000 (today $52,000) here in Salsomaggiore Terme, Italy.
