Carbon look: 1957 Porsche 356 A Coupé

This 356A is very down in the dumps, it will take a lot of work to restore it to acceptable looks and function, yet we believe it is someone’s dream.

The reason is obvious: in fact this is a blank sheet from which you can start for any type of creation. In fact, since the engine installed is not original (it looks like a unit taken from a VW Beetle) and it certainly isn’t even powerful, we can imagine a fresh unit perhaps with a 2 liter displacement and more than 100 horsepower.

Obviously the painful part is the bodywork where you can’t cheat: this is certainly the most expensive part of the job since the floors will have to be replaced and the body must be fixed in several points – The interior instead looks quite original and has a rare and valuable vintage steering wheel, probably Derrington or Les Leston. Find it for sale at $40,000 here in Los Angeles, CA.
