One of the good things of sifting through thousands of classifieds ads, going around shows and attending classic car forums is to keep track of many cars over the years, especially the rarest and most unique ones.

And so we found an old acquaintance – at least we suppose it is – this magnificent 6C 2500 Sport Cabriolet by Pininfarina that we already saw at a classic cars show in Italy, in 2012: then it was in different conditions. Of course, now it is shiny but when we saw it we had an extraordinary patina: we are not sure that restoring it was the right choice but, you know, who pays the music chooses the song.

Obviously, that this is the same car as seen by us is just a guess that derives from the fact that finding two cars of this type, produced in a few dozen units, with the same color combination, is a very unlikely event, although possible. For the rest there is little to say: the conditions seem excellent, so it remains only to check the “numbers” by the potential buyer. Find it for sale at $550,000 here in West Chester, PA.
The blue Cabrio that carries Roma 170611 license plate, this last released in 1952 so not the first one being a 1949 car, has another chassis number, 916.xxx and was on sale in 2012, when was bought by current owner, living in Italy.
