The Peugeot 403 are rare in the USA: the Cabriolet version, produced in a total not exceeding 2,500 secimens, is basically nowhere to be found.
This very elegant two-door and four-seat convertible designed by Pininfarina was the top of the Peugeot range between the late 50s and early 60s, and it is certainly among the most beautiful Peugeot ever built: this specimen in particular was certainly imported into the US not many years ago, and still wears its old French license plate.
The combination of colors – bronze on the outside and parchment on the inside – is very elegant especially when combined with a light soft top like in this case. Another peculiarity of this car is the intake setup with twin carburetors, never seen on this model. The seller says the car is solid but not the exact year of this car (1959 or 1960) and, last but not least, we find that the asking price is very interesting. Find it for sale at $55,000 here in West Palm Beach, FL.
