These VW (generally all the aircooled VW) usually split opinions in two parties: who likes them and who hates them. We basically love all classic cars so also this one deserves some words.
These “Kübelwagen”, a.k.a. “Thing” for the U.S. market, were built, of course, on the Beetle chassis and engine but they were even more essential than the most famous relative: they were basically made for warm climate areas and indeed these were best sellers in states like California.
This particular car is a solid specimen which went under restoration on last September but the owner changed his plans so now the car is disassembled but partially restored. Floors are indeed restored and primed. The engine is said to be in good conditions and the car is complete, including a spare 1600 c.c. engine an four ATS mag rims.
