12,000 photos: 1967 Maserati Ghibli 4.7 Coupé

The seller says to have more than 12,000 photos done on this Ghibli under restoration: they’re a lot but still they don’t explain everything.

The first thing is the chassis number: on eBay the car is listed with the chassis number 115/132 but stangely this car looks the same under restoration here which indeed has the chassis number #115/170. This last car has a lot of work already done, at least more than the half in terms of man hours.

Then there is the car on eBay which is photographed along with and engine block which seems partially rebuild with a new aluminium casting: maybe the original one was cracked. Whatever, that’s a lot of effort spent on this car which is actually for sale here in Lawton, IA, with bidding at $30,100 and no reserve.

  1. The seller has shown the chassis numbers stamped in the car to me and it is 132 as he says. I’m sure he would be happy to share the same images with other prospective buyers too
