Rust is the word: 1965 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider by Touring

Update, March 24

The has been put again for sale, we suppose by the same seller, at £21,000 (today $35,000) here in Kampenhout, Belgium.

This 2600 spider is said to be a barn find: that barn should have been very wet as this car has serious rust issues all over the body. There is one only photo of the rear undercarriage where there is an hole large enough to insert an arm.

The interior looks quite complete and, whatching the car from such point of view, it would not seem as bad as it really is. The horn button is missing but the instruments look good. A nice feature is the original hardtop which, when in good conditions, is worth more than $2,000.

The engine bay too is not rust free but this is the least problem as rebuilding such engine will cost you way less than the undercarriage alone. Maybe, if the winning bid goes not far from the actual one, with enough money and time the effort could be worth the result, so do your math. Find it for sale here in Incourt, Belgium, with bidding at $7,600 and reserve price not met.
