Snow white: 1959 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider

Another Alfa, another Spider—but this time, it’s the mother of the one we featured two days ago: a Giulietta. Not perfect, of course, but more than enough to enjoy the good weather.

It also comes in a classic color combination for this model: white with red interior—an all-time classic, no less timeless than red, which is very common on these cars. As we mentioned, it’s not a perfect car, starting with the steering wheel which, although very nice, comes from a Giulia. The rest are mostly minor details that can be addressed, but the point is this: not everyone is looking for a concours-level example. Many are simply after a car they can drive often and without too many worries—and this car fits that bill perfectly.

That said, there are quite a few positives: the seller states that the four-wheel drum brakes have been serviced by the previous owner with new wheel cylinders and stainless brake lines. The car also has a new Abarth exhaust system, new radiator, new water pump, and lots of other items (rubber seals, new front enamel badge, new hood and trunk hinges). It features a three-spoke steering wheel, chrome trim/bumpers, 15-inch wheels with like-new Pirelli tires. The interior has been renewed and a new rug set installed. The exterior paint was done years ago by the previous owner and still holds up well. The exterior chrome is good for a daily driver. If you look closely at the gauges and knobs, you’ll see a car that has been well taken care of and always kept out of the weather. Last but not least, the seller states that the car is totally rust free. Find it for sale at $45,000 here in Shelburne, VT.
