Normale: 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider

The Giulietta Spider is an icon of the automotive world, alongside other cars such as the FIAT 500, the Porsche 356/911, teh Volkswagen Beetle, the Jaguar E-Type, and a few others. In particular, we’re talking about a Tipo 750, also known as the “Passo Corto” or SWB.

By now, there are very few left to restore, unless we include those in such desperate condition that they are better suited as a source of spare parts rather than restoration projects. This is because, over the past decade, the supply of original parts on the market has dwindled, and the original parts that are still available have reached exorbitant prices. Meanwhile, reproduction parts available on the market are of poor quality—and we say this from firsthand experience on more than one car.

Well, this particular example is said to be complete. To be precise, the seller states that the only missing parts are the front headlight rings, which can be found on the market, even original ones, without breaking the bank. As for the rest, the car appears to be complete, as claimed by the owner. Of course, it needs restoration, and we don’t know the condition of the underbody: there will definitely be rust, but the extent of it needs to be assessed. We’re also unsure whether this dark red is the original color, but for us, that’s not particularly relevant. Find it for sale at $18,000 here in Scotts Valley, CA.
