This is rare 1967 Mustang Fastback GT 390 with a 4-speed manual transmission project. It is supposed to be a genuine S code Big Block GT 4 Speed car, a variant that accounts for less than 1% of all Mustangs produced.
This particular car comes in Yellow, but its original color was Wimbledon white, paired with a classic black interior. The car boasts its original quarter panels with no Bondo—a rarity in these vehicles—and has maintained many of its original features, including the door tag and correct engine compartment stampings. The body requires some patching, indicating a storied past, but remains a solid foundation for restoration.
Under the hood lies a rebuilt 390 engine with an Edelbrock aluminum intake and carburetor, and stock exhaust manifolds. It features a brand new 2.5-inch exhaust system with an H pipe and Flowmaster 40’s, culminating in stylish oval tips at the rear. The car is originally equipped with a wide ratio 4-speed transmission equipped with a Hurst shifter and a 428 Cobra Jet bellhousing. It also features a robust 9-inch rear end with a rear drain plug and subframe connectors. Additional new components include a gas tank, sending unit, aluminum radiator, flex fan, and more. The car is mechanically sound, though not yet drivable, and comes with several new parts waiting to be installed by its new owner, such as a complete clutch pedal assembly kit, shocks, a new GT pop-open gas cap, carpet, and a freshly serviced driveshaft. The sale also includes an Elite Marty Report and statistics page, verifying that this car is one of only 11 built with its specific configurations.
