The body color is the most “summery” you could wish for, and its name is also evocative: Bahama Yellow.
The aforementioned color was applied to the bodywork of a Porsche 911 which was still part of the so-called “zero series”, i.e. the 901 series as the 911 was initially christened. However, when Peugeot (which had the copyright on car names made up of three numbers with a median zero) learned of the thing, it let Porsche understand that it would not have been ‘prudent’ to use that number, and thus the 911 was born.
But the parts to build the cars had already been produced and their codes still started with 901, like many of the parts that make up this numbers-matching, short wheel base 911 offered with its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. 1,709 coupes were built in 1966, this car looks very clean and correct, and most likely already fully restored a few years ago, but still fresh looking and above all, for once, at a high but not stratospheric price. Find it for sale at $125,000 here in Astoria, NY.

That’s not Bahama Yellow…it’s too pale. Might be Champagne Yellow.
