In the period from the early 70s to the early 80s, when the twenty-first century began to be seen at the horizon, the world of commercial and industrial design was driven to seek new forms and interpretations of everyday and non-everyday objects.
Obviously the automotive world was not impervious to these trends, and as had happened for the previous decades, Italian design was on its high horse, especially with Pininfarina and Bertone: the latter built this prototype van based on a Fiat 850 T chassis and engine, both solid and reliable.
Obviously what Bertone intervened on is the bodywork: this (one-off) van was designed thinking of using it to make external visitors take factory tours, so here is the presence of large glass surfaces, air conditioning and luxurious leather interiors: by the way, the combination of colors is very elegant. Last but not least, the seller says that this van is completely original and working. Find it for sale at €85,000 (today $95,500) here in Perugia, Italy.
