This little fiberglass spider has been built putting toghether a Trojan body with a Cheetah front end. This is a long project as the seller provides also a bunch of period photos describing the work performed on it through the years. The frame is made of square steel tubes. The seller says also that the car is clearly titled and it still has a Trojan VIN plate which needs only to be installed on the car.

The bodywork is made quite well, featuring very pleasant lines. It seems a mix of an ’50’s italian barchetta and of a AC Cobra. All toghether running of a set of American Racing wheels. The windscreen comes from a ’53/’54 Chevrolet Corvette. Not bad if you think that this tub is pushed by a 351 c.i. Ford V8 engine: it should go really fast. The auto transmission must be replaced with a proper four/five speed unit in our opinion.

Interiors need to be installed, however the seller says that there is a full set of Stewart Warner gauges. We don’t like so much the wheels but, apart from this, it could be a very interesting and quite cheap project which can be completed in few months. We suspect that, once finished, this car will be much more different and attractive than how it’s now. Find it for sale at $17,500 here in Carnation, WA.

I built this car. Wonder if its still around?
