Electric tank: 1943 S.A.T.A.M. Eléctrique

One of the strangest thing to think about is a WWII electric car. Maybe the lack of gasoline in such period pushed the S.A.T.A.M. (acronym of “Société Anonyme pour Tous Appareillages Mécaniques”, established in 1921) to build this car. Some sources says that when new, a car like this had been capable to run for 134 kms at a speed of 32 km/h.

Actually the car looks like a little tank, it would be great to see also the interiors and what kind of instruments are inside there. However, from outside the car seems complete, including the sliding side windows and the door handles.

We wonder how much could be the restoration cost for a car like this: we actually don’t know what is the rate for an electrician. Find it for sale at €15,000 (today $20,000)here in Monteux, France.
