It’s not so easy to find a 1949-51 Mercury Coupé which has not gone under hammers, welders and grinders during its life, but sometimes it happens, as for this car. The seller says that this car was his grandfather’s present to him, at that it’s sitting in a barn from many years.

Obviously there is a lot work here to make this car shine again, but it seems quite solid and complete. All the original parts seem to be there and that’s it always a good starting point for whatever restoration job. The seller says also that the car has a blown motor but he could provide a correct flathead as well.

Interiors seem very good and not abused. They seem to not have paid so much due to the time and, even here, they seem correct and complete. We wonder how can so many leafs be inside the car but, at last, this situation is coherent with the place in which this car lied so much time. Find this hot rod era survivor for sale at $8,000 here in Leaf River, CL.
