Zagato is a coachbuilder known not for baroque or elaborate shapes, but rather for the exact opposite: minimal, clean lines designed for aerodynamic efficiency, with all superfluous elements left behind.
The 2600 bodied by Zagato is the purest expression of this concept: taking the platform of a luxurious and well-equipped coupé like the 2600 Sprint, stripping it of the unnecessary, and making it agile, lightweight, and above all, powerful—thanks to its inline-six engine with dual overhead camshafts, echoing the architecture of the legendary 6C models built in the 1920s and 1930s. Needless to say, the body had to be made strictly of aluminum—but you already knew that.
Although it currently wears recently issued license plates, this Zagato is said to have been originally sold new in Italy. It has been fully restored—and, from what we can see in the photos, restored very well. The color is Zagato White with black leather interior—a rather ordinary combination for a car that is, in truth, anything but. Find it for sale here in Roppolo, Italy.
