Black patina: 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTC

One of the latest works of the glorious Touring body shop was the conversion of the GT most loved by Italians into a Cabriolet.

Unfortunately, this conversion was not very commercially successful and very few were produced, and even fewer survive: this example is a survivor, probably part of the spectacular Dutch Palmen collection, containing 230 cars, all auctioned shortly more than a month ago.

Whatever the provenance, this car appears to be in remarkably original condition, probably once thoroughly cleaned and with a thorough polishing of the body (also removing that strange black dust), the result could surprise. We don’t have photos of the underbody but, if it were healthy, this car could be kept as it is, with the obvious adjustments to the suspension, brakes and possibly the engine. Find it for sale at €89,900 (today $98,000) here in Bovenden, Germany.
