A little over 20 years ago I remember stumbling upon a ’63 Corvette for sale, in good condition, in Silver Blue. The asking price was $25,000.
Although attracted by the car, I thought that the price was too high and gave it up: it is clear that if I had chosen the profession of fortune teller, I probably would have gone bankrupt many years ago. In fact, for some years the Corvette called “Split Window”, due to the rear window in two parts, has reached very high prices as, in this configuration, it was produced for only one year.
And here’s a 1963 specimen whose asking price, although it’s a car to be restored, is three times the one I got at the time: it’s the market, baby. The seller says this is a matching numbers car but not much else, it looks like a complete car but there are few photos and not very clear, but it is certainly a car that deserves to be inspected in person. Find it for sale at $75,000 (minimum) here in Wilmington, NJ.
