Many papers, few rust: 1960 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider by Touring

This 2000 Spider (chassis #AR102.04.01549) project comes from Mexico where it is said to have been with the original owner until now: maybe that’s why it’s the first time ever we see the original rigid toolbox we didn’t know about its existence.

This looks a nice project indeed: this former-red car has a very dry and straight aspect, both on the body and under the floors: of course there will be some rust but we believe that should be the least problem of this car which, in our opinion, looks to have had a beginning of a restoration job which ended up in a car partially dismantled. However, it looks very complete with all its external trims.

Many papers come along with it including the original invoice: that’s a true gem for the documentation fetishist (like we are) but the true gem, as said before, is the original and complete toolbox. Interiors are extremely good as long as the whole body: the engine bay looks like it’s missing some bit but, generally speaking, this is the project everyone is looking for. Find it for sale here in Edgewater, FL, with bidding at $23,600 and reserve not met.
