The SS is one of those classic cars which nose resembles a shark profile: that happens even more if the car is missing the front bumper, just like this one.

The SS needs no introduction as it’s impossible to confuse with another car and even because many have been published here, in different conditions. This SS (VIN #AR00242) is not the worst but neither the better published here: it’s a car which needs a full restoration but it’s quite a good starting point.

First, because it looks complete: with the exception of the front bumper (which can be bought as some companies make good reproductions) the car looks to have all of its parts and it looks also quite solid: the seller has published a photo of the undercarriage which actually seems dry. Interiors are quite original and nothing seems missing. The rust on the sills is businedd as usual for these cars and we suppose that it will not scary anyone who has decided to make this car shine again. Find it for sale here in Florham Park, NJ, with bidding at $48,000 and reserve not met.

This car comes with an interesting history. You can see the car here in the SS Register.(www.veloceregister.net/ss1.html) Just scroll down until you get to the chassis number and click on the link. If the rot in the rockers isn’t to bad you won’t get upside down financially on this one. Just know that some items are hard to come by and it will take time to source them.
