Once again, here is a photo report from this edition of the Vernasca Silver Flag, the historic evocation of the hillclimb race. As usual, no lawn here: every car is asked to growl and run uphill from Castell’Arquato to Vernasca: 8,5 km of bends. This year the Flag is dedicated to the genius of Vincenzo Lancia and his heritage. Also, many known names like Sandro Munari (winner of the 1972 Targa Florio, along with Arturo Merzario), Andrea Zagato (son of Elio) and Gianni Tonti, father of Lancia Corse (Lancia Works) and of its victorious era during the ’70s and ’80s . Enjoy them through the photostream below.
