We’re not Lancia experts to the point of being able to state definitively whether this is a B50, B51, or B52, so we’ve made an assumption based on the year provided by the seller.
The seller—well known to many of you—Joop Stolze, is currently liquidating his entire collection (though we’re quite sure he’ll be keeping a few cars for himself, likely the best ones). It’s a very large collection that includes some true gems, such as this Lancia Cabriolet built on an Aurelia chassis and engine, produced in very limited numbers and—this is the tricky part during restoration—often different from one another.
This car appears to have undergone a partial restoration, or perhaps a restoration that was started and then interrupted. Still, this shouldn’t be a major issue, as long as all the components—especially those relating to the interior trim—are present. If not, the future owner will face a major challenge (or several smaller ones). In any case, this could be an excellent opportunity for an enthusiast of the marque to get their hands on a beautiful, elegant, and rare automobile. Find it for sale here in De Lier, Netherlands.
