And here is a rare 1100 TV built by Pininfarina, based on the Fiat 1100-103 that had been released — in this case — the previous year. A solid and reliable platform, upon which dozens of special versions were built by the coachbuilders of the era.
This example is said to be preserved and in perfect running condition, still wearing its original Turin license plate — the city where it was built. It’s fascinating to think how some examples like this one have made it through seven decades unscathed, especially without ever being restored, as is the case here.
Clearly, this car has undergone at least one repaint since the original finish — otherwise, very little of it would have survived to this day. However, the green interior appears to be original. Overall, the car looks tidy and well put together. The only real pity is the aftermarket turn signals, installed by drilling into the bodywork: a less invasive solution could have been chosen, but back then, people paid less attention to such details. Find it for sale at €95,000 (today $108,000) here in Italy.

I owned an earlier version of the TV Pininfarina coupe. It had the smaller rear glass and cleaner rear styling. This car was a barn find that I unearthed in the Gold Rush area of California. It eventually was shipped to Italy for restoration and ended up back in California years later at the RM auction in Monterey.
