Green on green: 1967 Jaguar E-Type FHC

This Series I Coupe, originally finished in British Racing Green with a matching green interior, a very interesting color combo, offers a promising restoration opportunity for the right enthusiast.

With a documented history, the car was part of a significant collection of over 100 Jaguars in Austin, Texas, before being acquired by Team Classic Jaguar (TCJ). The current owner purchased it from TCJ a decade ago, intending a full restoration, though time constraints have left the project unfinished. The car features a two-seater configuration, numbers-matching engine, and a Jaguar Heritage Certificate, ensuring its authenticity. Desirable Series I details include Triplex glass-covered headlights and triple SU carburetors paired with a manual transmission. A new NOS mild steel exhaust system is included, adding value for the next owner.

Structurally, the car offers a solid restoration base, the seller says. Floors, radius arm cups, rear valance, and bonnet are intact, with only minor surface rust on the outer rockers and roof. The windshield and rear hatch glass are in good condition, and most original Series I components remain, including a high-performance aluminum radiator. Mechanically, the car retains its original carburetors and manual gearbox. It is currently non-running but rolls and steers, making it manageable for transport and storage. The interior will require a complete overhaul, including upholstery and carpets. This Jaguar E-Type represents a significant but rewarding restoration project. The purchase price is not bad at all and the top level cars prices are high, but restoration costs can be substantial: Do your math. Find it for sale at $34,500 here in North Ridgeville, OH.
