Ran when parked: Two 1958 Austin-Healey 100-6

If you buy a car to restore it, just do it without waiting for some uncertain event because, sad as it is, it’s an inescapable truth that we never know what the future holds.

In this specific case, this pair of Austin-Healey 100-6 belonged to someone who had them in their garage with the intention of bringing them back to their original splendor. Despite the good intentions, the grim reaper struck before he could complete this project, and now the cars are for sale by a friend or a close relative (the latter is more likely).

The seller states that the cars were “driven” into the garage, implying that the engine of both (which is said to be original for both vehicles) was operational. Furthermore, the seller mentions that both cars come with the title, along with various parts including trims, new old stock glass, hard top, soft top cockpit cover, original jack, original maintenance manual, etc. Running gear, frames, and drivetrain are complete. In short, for enthusiasts of these cars, it’s an opportunity that doesn’t come around often, especially considering that the respective bodywork also appears to be in excellent condition. Find them for sale at $25,000 (both) here in Post Falls, WA.
