Yellow bug: 1968 Meyers Manx Dune Buggy

Once these cars were a bit mistreated, considered more like motorized toys than real cars, and for this reason most have been lost.

Indeed these are not cars in which you can travel 1000 miles to take your family and their luggage on a beach holiday, yet these are cars that have the power to make you feel as if you are on the beach, even if you are in the middle of the mountains: the point is to feel more on a four-wheeled motorbike than on a car. Many have imitated them but only the Meyers Manx are the ones that have gone down in automotive history.

This example has certainly been put to the max without much consideration, hardly surprising for a car you could buy in the 80s for $500 (in running condition), but it is all original and is also equipped with a Porsche four-cylinder engine coming from a 914, together with the rear control arms. Obviously everything has to be rebuilt, the car seems quite complete and the work to be done is not, all in all, complex. Find it for sale at $15,000 here in Port Richey, FL.
