15 year long nap: 1962 Porsche 356 BT6 Super 90 Hardtop Coupé

Slate Gray 6201 should be the color code of this rare 356 BT6 in its least appreciated version (but only at the time of presentation), now its collector interest is high.

It has never been clear to us why the Porsche management of the time decided to produce this strange hybrid, neither coupé nor cabriolet and which, after all, was nothing more than a Cabriolet with its hardtop welded on (in the T5 version it was literally so). In fact, at the time it was not very successful and the latter is one of the best ingredients for a future success in terms of collecting.

This particular car is said to have been parked for 15 years, therefore, as the seller says, needs the battery, drum linings and oil seals replaced. The condition looks apparently good, it looks like a very well preserved car with a nice color combo. However, we don’t know if the engine is the original one (important for any vintage car, but very important for a Porsche, especially in this rare Super 90 version with sunroof. Find it for sale at €95,000 (today $102.000) here in Sicily, Italy.
