The Datsun Sports 1600 (also known as “Fairlady”) has enjoyed some success in the USA and, given its characteristics, would have been successful in Europe too if it had been officially imported.

This model was designed by Albrecht Graf von Schlitz, Gen. von Goertz von Wrisberg (best known as Albrecht Goertz), the man who designed the BMW 507: a good hand for sure even though this model smells a lot of italian design. Whatever, that’s a nice roadster with a brilliant engine.

The seller says that, before being recommissioned,  this 1967 Datsun Roadster sat uncompleted from a restoration which began decades ago, and was stopped for unknown reason. Then, as hust said, the car has been recommissioned to a very nice “driver quality” roadster, with new interior, new Uniroyal 185/75/14 radial ww tires, and other upgrades. So, for sure this car will look worse in person than in photo but, given its asking price, we believe that’s good as is. Find it for sale at $11,900 here in Belchertown, MA.
