The first black Merak SS ever seen by us for sale is just this car: the SS, factory type 122/A, was the ultimate Merak: 220 hp from a 3000 cc, V6 engine.

The higher power was obtained thanks to an increased engine compression ratio and bigger carburetors: three downdraft Weber 44 DCNF had the task to feed the hungry V6. The SS was also 50 kgs lighter than the 3000, with larger tires and a different dashboard.

This particular car is said to have benefited of various works during the last ten years: new paint and full body maintenance, muffler and supports replacement, reverse gear switch, distributor, a full engine rebuild in 2013 along with a new clutch and a new electrical system.
