Mr. Rapley again amazes us with another barn find: this time is an early Giulietta Sprint (#356) which features some distinctive details like the aluminium hood (later used on the Veloce’s) and the pull-knob starter switch. We only must correct the seller when he says that the only Giulietta Mille Miglia eligible are the ones made between ’53 and ’55: first because in ’53 the Giulietta Sprint was only an idea (there was a prototype only, disappeared in early ’60’s) and then because you could join it also with a ’57 car.

What is in really good conditions, despite of their 58 years, are the interiors: much of these could be recovered, especially the door panels and the rear panels. Curious is the fact that the car has a column shift but it’s clearly visible an hole on the tunnel which should accomodate a floor gear shift lever.

It’s impossible to say if the engine matches the car but the serial number is low, very low and, being a number from 1955, it could be the original unit. Much work to do on this car which has a rust everywhere, but it’s for sure not a desperate case. Find it for sale here in Bethel, CT, with bidding at $5,000 and reserve not met.
