And here it is another Italia 2000 which pops out of darkness. The seller doesn’t say anything about the car itself: just few words to tell again the well known history of these cars and the relationships among Ruffino, Michelotti and Vignale.

One of the most important information about these cars, the Vignale serial number, is not disclosed along with the year of production; however we could suppose that this car belongs to the first batch, probably 1960 or mid ’61. For sure this should be an american delivery car as the taillights are Lucas instead of Altissimo. It seems a car in need of a total restoration but its doesn’t look rotten; rather it seems a car neglected in the last 25-30 years.

We can’t understand the paint color: it seems a very old paint but it doesn’t belong the the official color list of Ruffino; however these were hand made cars built on request so it could be a special order color. Too bad that the seller doesn’t post a photo of interiors; however the door panel is complete and correct so also the rest of the interiors trims could be all there. Find it for sale at an optimistic €51,500 (today $67,000) here in Sanary-sur-Mer, France.

I’ll have whatver drugs the seller is taking. $67,000 for a restoration case is pure lunacy and I personally don’t believe he’s really serious about selling.
