This Porsche 912 has been totally restored and painted in a not original – but period correct – Bahama Yellow: we’re pretty sure that the California black plates gave a contribution in taking such decision.

For sure a great effort has been spent on this restoration but just for this reason we wonder why the restorer made some mistakes like painting the dashboard in the same body shade (it should be black, whatever the body color is) and putting such “ghetto blaster” speakers under the dashboard. He should have kept in mind that Porsche-nuts pay a “clinical” attention to details which must be perfect if you ask for top dollars.

However, they are minor details; the car is said to have matching numbers and that is a very good thing. The seller says that the restoration cost overrun the asking price and we believe him: there’s quite no difference (in money) in restoring a 912 or a 911.
