This Porsche 356 is a model year 1961, so it’s a T5 as you can see from the round bonnet edge and the small rear screen. It also means that on this kind of car you need to open the bonnet to refill the fuel tank: this particular car doesn’t need it, as the bonnet has been modified to accomodate a racing style fuel cap. Although painted in a racing red-silver combo, this car is said to be born in ruby red, and it’s equipped with minimal aftermarket bumpers and a set of black Minilite wheels. To our eyes, the whole package works quite well.

Interiors look very nice. They seem correct and they are enhanced with a beautiful Derrington-like steering wheel: we wonder if that is original or not.

The seller says that this car is a S model per Certificate of Autenticity; the engine is said to be correct although not original. Watching the engine, it’s clear that we’re speaking of a 75 h.p. S unit. We love these Porsche when they are intended as funny cars, not only as a collectible items. Find it for sale at $40,000 or best offer here in Bethel Park, PA.
