Deep blue: 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce

The 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce is a rare and coveted Alfa, with only 200 units (more or less) ever produced. Designed by Bertone, this lightweight model features aluminum components for the hood, trunk lid, door panels, bumpers, headlight bezels, intake manifold, oil pan, and wheels.

Additionally, sliding Plexiglas windows replaced traditional glass, eliminating heavy window regulators and further reducing weight. Interior modifications included the removal of the rear seat and soundproofing materials, shaving approximately 68 kg off its standard Sprint counterpart. Performance upgrades included a dual Weber DCO3 carburetor system, which increased the engine’s output to 90 hp and allowed a top speed of 180 km/h. These enhancements contributed to the Giulietta Sprint Veloce’s racing success, including securing the top three spots in its class at the 1956 Mille Miglia.

This specific example boasts its original license plates and documents and is registered with ASI, FIVA, and the Mille Miglia Registry. It participated in the Mille Miglia in 2021, 2022, and 2023, and features matching numbers and colors. The stunning blue shade of this vehicle could be either Blu Biarritz or Blu Mare, two classic hues that enhance its timeless elegance and style. Find it for sale at €265,000 (today $278,000) here in Isso, Italy.
