We were not familiar with this berlinetta, which closely resembles the FIAT 8V models built by Zagato, and perhaps the reason is that it is likely a one-of-a-kind example.
Besides its rarity, this car also seems to have been a winner: the seller claims that it placed first in its class at the Sebring and Watkins Glen races in 1960, the year it was probably sold to a U.S. customer.
In addition to its track victories, it also won at an elegance contest: the 1957 Rimini, Italy, Concours d’Elegance. The condition is visibly excellent, and the car is simply beautiful from the outside. Under the hood, it might be even more impressive: the 750 c.c. Bandini twin-cam engine, with its red cam covers, takes center stage, accompanied by a pair of dual Weber carburetors. The asking price is very “challenging”, as you might imagine. Find it for sale at €600,000 (today $653,000) here in Forlì, Italy.
