This Lancia Aurelia B53 has a special coupé body built on commission by Alemanno, a historic Turin company that many of you have likely heard of at least once.
It is practically impossible to know for certain how many similar cars were built, and when we say “similar,” we do not mean “identical” because, in fact, even cars from the same special series differ in some details. This is because they were literally hand-built cars and also because the specifications were often dictated by the clients according to their personal tastes. Allemano would buy the chassis from Lancia and then outfit them to order.
This particular example has clearly undergone a complete restoration that seems to have taken care of every detail: the bodywork and chrome appear perfect. However, if you truly want to understand the level of restoration of a car, you should look at the quality of the interiors and instrumentation. The interior of this car is elegant and flawless, and there is little more to add. Certainly, the asking price covers the cost of the restoration but does not include the car itself. Find it for sale at €165,000 (today $180,000) here in Aalter, Belgium. Thanks to Fluc for this tip!
