One-Off: 1936 Lancia Astura Coupé by Pininfarina

When it comes to Lancias built before the Second World War, all enthusiasts of classic cars know what they are talking about.

In fact, these are cars built with attention to finishes and technologies worthy, if not better, of brands such as Isotta Fraschini, Rolls-Royce or Cadillac. They were cars built on request in a small number of specimens, with bodywork by the best Italian craftsmen (almost all from Turin and Milan), in this case the seller claims that this car was built by Pininfaina to a design by Revelli of Beaumont.

In fact, the seller adds that the “hand” of Beaumont can be seen from the aerodynamic grille, the integrated headlights and the shaped sills. This car uses a two-door central body typical of that period of PF production, to which custom-made details have been added at the customer’s request that make it unique. It was also the subject of an article in France in “Auto Retro” in December 1993. Obviously we are not sufficiently knowledgeable about pre-war Lancias to be able to refute or confirm the seller’s claims, certainly the car is splendid as it is. Find it for sale at €135,000 (today $149,000) here in Chiaramonte Gulfi, Italy.
