This is a 4.7, not a 4.9: the seller says this as the two models had different production numbers and the 4.9 is the scarcer of the Indy family built by Vignale.

That, of course, doesn’t mean that you will find this Maserati behind the corner: it stills is a maserati produced in few specimens: 364 were built and, among scarapped and crashed car, few remains nowadays, including this one which needs a total restoration. The seller says that he bought it from Gullwing NY in order to do a total restoration which has never begun.

Maybe that’s because of time, but more probably because of cost: restoring an Indy is as expensive as restoring a Ghibli, but we all know that actually a restored Ghibli is worth three times this car so, at least now, restoring this car properly is a labour of love: there’s no room for speculation here. On the other side, we see two good point on this car: it has a beautiful color combo and, last but not least, it looks 100% complete and this, on a car like this, it’s not a detail at all. Find it for sale here in Miami, FL, with bidding at $15,000 and reserve not met.
