This car was designed and produced in order to face the competition against italian and british sports cars of the era, but unfortunately it lost the battle.

That was probably due to the fact that, despite its nice engine, a 1600 c.c. DOHC inline four unit, the Facellia was heavier than its competitor and more oriented to cruise than to join the twisty roads of the Alps. Then, the engine turned out to be rather weak and, when the factory decided to batten down the hatches, the damage was done.

This particular car (type F2B, VIN #448b) needs of course to be entirely restored but it seems quite a solid car and it seems that all the parts are with it: the engine is apart but it’s correct and so the gearbox which is said to be in good conditions. We can’t understand how are the conditions of the interiors but they should be there. Either way, the low asking price is for sure an invitation to have fun with it. Find it for sale at €5,500 (today $6,100) here in Mersch, Luxenbourg.
