Two owners: 1931 Lancia Lambda IX Coupé De Ville by Boneschi

We think we can all agree that this is not one of the most beautiful Lancias ever built, but that’s not a sports car and moreover we must also consider that it’s a car from 1931, well before the arrival of the streamlined designs of the second half of the 1930s, a period during which some of the most memorable cars in automotive history were produced.

Nevertheless, this car has a very particular charm, largely due to its nearly untouched state of preservation, helped by the fact that in 90 years, it has only had two owners. It’s already remarkable for a car to have had just two owners over 40 years, let alone twice that time.

This Lancia Lambda IX belonged to its first owner from 1931 until 1983, when it was purchased by its second and actual owner, who carried out a conservative restoration (we assume a fresh coat of paint and a review of the mechanical components). The interiors seem absolutely original, and just by looking at the photos, you can almost smell the aged leather. It is clearly a car that deserves to be exhibited in a museum and admired for the wealth of years it carries with it. Find it for sale at 150,000 (today $168,000) here in Bergamo, Italy.
