1 of 3: 1947 Lancia Aprilia Cabriolet by Langenthal

Searching for information on specialized websites, we became aware that about 3 examples of the Aprilia were built by the Swiss Langenthal, but these are unverified data.

Certainly, whether it’s 3, 5, or 10, these are ridiculously small numbers—so small that even if you spent a lifetime attending classic car shows, you might never see one in person. We also tried to find information about the Langenthal shop, but we found little or nothing (admittedly, we haven’t spent entire days on the research), except that besides Lancia, they also worked on many other brands of that time, including Delahaye.

Regarding the car, we don’t have much to say because the seller has not specified anything about the car’s condition. It is certainly of Swiss origin, given the “CH” on the rear hood, and it has undoubtedly been restored, although we don’t know when. However, the restoration seems to have been done very conservatively: the instruments on the dashboard, for example, have not been restored (at least from an aesthetic point of view). The striking feature of this beautiful convertible is the resemblance, in the front part, to the Alfa Romeo 6C built by Pininfarina between the late 1930s and the late 1940s. Find it for sale here in Rosta, Italy. Thanks to Fluc for this tip!
