It’s already been a while since we published a Simca 1200S, and the reason is that lately they only find one at high prices, but this could be an opportunity for someone to get their hands on an affordable specimen.
Obviously the reason is easy to understand: the car needs some work starting with the engine which the seller says is stuck. Unfortunately, the aforementioned is the only information provided in the announcement: nothing else is known.
So let’s assume that the interior is complete (judging by only one, partial photo) and that the bodywork needs work even if we are not able to figure out how much work it is. Let’s suppose that the car may have rust here and there but it doesn’t seem to us – as a general impression – a hopeless case: the only way to know for sure is to go and see it in person. Find it for sale at €7,500 (today $8,000) here in Casagiove, Italy.

I wouldn’t call it hopeless, the car seems OK for a total restoration
But then again, looks are deceiving, and I do not know how hard it can be to find parts for it.

Indeed, we wrote that it doesn’t seem a desperate case to us
