Here it is again on eBay with a huge price drop to $105,000

Mr. Rapley never betrays expectations and indeed now has another very special car for sale.

That’s a special coachbuilt car made in germany in the early fifties by Hans Fischhaber to compete in the German Championships in 1953 for the Eigenbau (home built) class: he chose the Lancia Aprilia mechanicals to build his little barchetta.

Then this car was raced but unfortunately it was wrecked just at the second round: luckily it wasn’t scrapped but slightly modified for a proper road use also with the adoption of an MGA windscreen: then it’s quite impossible to say how it reached the U.S. It’s an aluminum barchetta very well built with nice shapes, it doesn’t seem an “homework” but a machine built with many attention to details and, last but not least, a unique car.
