Another Mille Miglia entry: 1955 Citroen 2CV

ScreenShot001

Believe it or not, this 1955 Citroen 2CV is Mille Miglia elegible. Not later than two years ago,  a 1957 sister of this car joined that event. This particular car is an early model pushed by a 375 c.c. flat twin, air cooled engine.

Early cars had a very strange, but very economic and effective suspension system including a couple of longitudinal spring which linked the front suspensions with the rear ones. The height from the ground, the ragtop and a great fuel economy made this car a great best seller at the time.

Unfortunately the seller doesn’t provide interiors or engine photos but he says that the car is in great shape and that, moreover, a spare engine and carburetor will come with the car. That’s good because nowadays there aren’t many of these pre-58 cars around. Find it for sale at €11,500 (today $15,000) here in Lamballe, France.
