This week we have here another delivery van: a 1957 Lancia Appia “Furgoncino”. These cars were often set up in this way to be sold to various companies, especially mechanics-related producers and distributors. These vans were not built by coachbuilders but by Lancia factory. They had a lower power than the sedan version, but a five speed gearbox along with a wider ratio differential.

This car is obviously in need of a total restoration but, apart from some external trim, it seems to be all there. Interiors look correct and not abused.

The V4 engine inside the engine bay is alone, but some spare parts like the radiator and the front grill are inside the cabin. Also the metal seems not in bad conditions: rust looks superficial so it shouldn’t create big problems. Find it for sale at €5,900 (today $7,600) here in Pianezza, Italy.
