Underrated for many years, these Karmann Ghia are beginning to claw back their place in car history. The Ghia design (directed by master coachbuider Felice Mario Boano till 1955) works well still today. This particular car, covered with a primer which has the same colour of clay, seems quite solid and mostly complete.
The wheels are correct along with che caps and seeing the car by side you couldn’t see many defects or lacks.

Interiors seem to be in a better status than the rest of the car. This could be a rare example of dry California car. The ad is full of detailed photos and it’s possible to see many points of the car which are usually rust prone. The car needs work but it’s a good candidate for a resto job.

Originality is important but the weak point of these cars is the lack of power: it’s easy to replace the unit with a 100 hp one which will give many driving satisfactions to the new owner. Find it here for sale at $3,500 in Hollister, CA
