Camping cool: 1955 Alfa Romeo T10 Autotutto Camper

We have seen and published other T10s in the past, but never as cool and unique as this specimen.

Alfa Romeo, a brand synonymous with sporting excellence, also ventured into the commercial vehicle market with the ‘Autotutto’ (‘all purpose’) Romeo. Launched in 1954 at the Turin Motor Show, this versatile van came in various body types, including the charming minibus variant. As Alfa Romeo’s first left-hand drive commercial vehicle, the Autotutto featured a de-tuned version of the classic 1.3-litre twin-cam four engine from the Giulietta, with an optional twin-cylinder supercharged two-stroke diesel engine.

This particular 1955 Autotutto left the Alfa Romeo factory on January 7th, destined for Palermo, Sicily. According to its Certificate of Origin, it retains its original twin-cylinder two-stroke diesel engine. The minibus changed hands in 1963, moving to Modena, and eventually became part of a renowned collection in the Emilia-Romagna region. The vendor, an Alfa Romeo specialist, undertook a comprehensive restoration of this rare vehicle, transforming it into a stunning camper van. The restoration preserved the original diesel engine. The interior now features a bench that folds into a double bed, a foldable table, multiple storage units, a sink with fresh and used water reservoirs, and a gas stove. Additional amenities include a picnic hamper and a foldable camping table with integrated seats. Find it for sale at €89,000 (today $97,000) here in Bovenden, Germany.
