Unknown as it has never been seen before, and probably, we won’t see others since this is a unique specimen.
The seller mentions that this car was built by students at the Coachbuilders Master School in Kaiserslautern (MHK). After that, it wasn’t used anymore and was in poor condition. Someone from Frankfurt purchased it, but also didn’t restore the car. Later, it was sold to a DKW Club member in Holland. It should be added that the car is based on a 1963 DKW 1000 S De Luxe.
Many of you may recognize in the lines of this car those of the ASA 1000 or the BMW 1600 GT, from which the bodywork students undoubtedly drew inspiration. Nevertheless, this small coupe has balanced and elegant lines worthy of the work of the best bodyworkers. A very well-executed “study” that deserves to be shown to the widest audience of enthusiasts possible. Find it for sale at €63,500 (today $69,000) here in Gorinchem, Netherlands. Thanks to Kyle for this tip!
